Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased marginally to 15.91 percent in June 2026, down from 15.93 percent recorded in May, according to the latest economic data.
The slight decline has been attributed largely to lower fuel costs, which helped moderate overall price increases. However, analysts note that food inflation remains a major concern, with the prices of essential commodities continuing to place pressure on household budgets. Economists say sustained policy measures will be required to achieve a more significant reduction in inflation.
