Chevron Signs Gas Delivery Agreement to Strengthen Nigeria’s Energy Supply

Chevron Nigeria has signed a new gas delivery agreement aimed at supporting the country’s domestic gas infrastructure and improving the reliability of energy supply across key sectors of the economy.

The agreement is expected to enhance the transportation and distribution of natural gas, providing a stronger foundation for power generation, industrial development, and other gas-dependent industries. It also reflects ongoing efforts to expand the use of natural gas as a cleaner and more sustainable source of energy.

Industry stakeholders say the deal will contribute to Nigeria’s broader energy development objectives by improving gas availability, encouraging investment in critical infrastructure, and supporting economic growth.

The agreement aligns with the Federal Government’s strategy of maximizing the country’s abundant natural gas resources while promoting energy security, reducing supply constraints, and creating opportunities for increased private sector participation.

Energy experts believe the partnership represents another positive step toward strengthening Nigeria’s gas value chain and advancing the country’s long-term goal of building a more resilient and sustainable energy sector.
