Andy Burnham has provided an exciting opportunity for youth and teenager to enjoy free bus travel across greater Manchester through the Bee network bus, additionally Andy Burnham has long supported cheaper and free public transport for young people in greater Manchester. At present, 16-18 years old who are residents of greater Manchester can use the pass and it provides free bus travel across the bee network and they have been proposals to expand to younger children. furthermore this is a temporary scheme and they have not yet become a permanent greater manchester-wide scheme. Lastly the UK government introduced a scheme for August 2026 for children aged 5-15to travel free during the summer holidays, this is separate form Andy Burnham local schemes and it run until 31august 2026
